ITALY BEST PICTURE

Two months ago, I went to Italy for a school trip for six days. We flew by the airplane to Pisa on March 29th. And after visiting Florence, Siena, Pisa, Lucca and Rome, on April 3nd we came back to Spain by a Gimaldi Lines' cruise.

The best picture of Italy for me is this one:

I took this picture in Florence. We went to visit the Florence Cathedral, known as Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore in Italian. I took the picture from the top of the Brunelleschi's cupola.

The picture shows basically the views of the city. In the left your left you can see the Giotto's Bell Tower. This tower is part of the Florence Cathedral. In my opinion, it is very beautiful and lovely. I read that it attains a height of 84,7m. and it dividies in five levels.

The decoration is perfect. The tower is covered by green, white and gold colours. It has long open windows. You can climb the tower, but we did not.

In the middle of the foreground, you can see the big roof of the cathedral and in front of it there's the Cathedral square. 

Moving to the right, you can see the houses'  red roofs, which are very typical there. In the background there are also a lot of houses' roofs and far away you can see a little natural elevation were there's a forest.

I still remember the day we climbed to the top of the dome. To enter to the Cathedral we waited on line for an hour and we also climbed too many stairs, but even so, it was very worth it. The day was perfect even though the weather it was not. 

UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE

UNESCO is an international organization leaded by the United Nations. The principal objective of this organization is to contribute peace and security between every state through the education, the science and the culture. That is why they make different projects to join together the countries, such as the World Heritage Site. The organization lists different places of the world that is special for cultural or national reasons or, that has an important significance.

A few weeks ago, in the English class we had to choose a place which is selected by UNESCO where we would like to go. It was hard to choose only one place. There were a lot of  countries that I would love to go. But, finally I chose Croatia.

Croatia is such a beautiful state. Cities like Porec, Split or Pula are protected by UNESCO. Those cities are concidered cultural patrimony.

But, the reason why I chose Croatia was for the Plitvice Lakes National Park. It is one of the oldest national park in Europe and the largest national park in Croatia. In 1979, it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register. The national park is situated in Lika-Senj Country, even so there is a little part in Karlovac Country.

The lakes' water are brought by different tributaries. The water flows over the limestone and chalk creating little natural waterfalls which have created a series of beautiful lakes and caves. The lakes have been there for a long time ago and nowadays, these geological place continues getting better.

The weather there is typical of the country. The precipitation is plentiful in Autumn and Spring. In December and January, the lakes freeze. A curious fact about the water is that the temperature of the water of the lakes on the top is lower than ten degrees, meanwhile the temperature of the water of the subterranean lakes is about forty-five degrees.

There are a lot of different kinds of plants and trees. The various vegetation makes the natural zone look more atractive for the colors that the leaves of the plants and trees get as the season changes. The dense forests in the park are home to different types of animals, such as bears, wolves and many rare bird and fish species.

This song is sung by James Bay. He is a British singer, songwriter and guitarist who is well-known for his last album, Chaos and the Calm. In this song, James talks about his feelings for a girl who apperantly does not feel the same, or, about a girl who is too good for him (that is why in the song he says: "at school you were the biggest deal"). Much of the story is expressed in understatement, as in ‘don’t rule it out’ and ‘I’m not waiting, but I’m willing …’ as if he still can’t bring himself to declare his love clearly and fully. 

I really like this artist. All of his songs are amazing and good. He has done other love songs such as Need the sun to break, and break up songs, like the song Let it go. 

A ROMANTIC FILM

One of the romantics films that I really like is What if. It is a canadian film directed by Michael Dowse, starring by Daniel Radcliffe as Wallace, Zoe Kazan as Chantry, Megan Park as Dalia, Adam Driver as Allan, Mackenzie Davis as Nicole and Rafe Spall as Ben. It was released on 2013. 

The film is about Wallace who has moved to Toronto to live with his sister. Since he left his girlfriend, he has not been very social. One day, Wallace's friend, Allan, convinced him to go to a house party. There, Wallace met Chantry, Allan's cousin. When the party ended, Chantry and Wallace walked to her home where he found out that Chantry has a boyfriend. Chantry gave Wallace her phone number, but even so, he did not call her. 

Some days later, they run into each other at the cinema. Finally, they went to have dinner together. 

Little by little, their friendship was growing. Wallace was invited by Chantry to have dinner and to meet Ben, Chantry's boyfriend. Later, Ben had to move to Dublin for his work. So, Chantry and Wallace began to develop their friendship. The two friends were not always in a good mood, they sometimes got anry. 

Chantry decided to flew to Dublin to join Ben. There, she discovered that he has accepted more work, which meant that he had to stay in Irland for more time. Chantry decided to break off their relationship. 

On the other hand, when Wallace noticed that Chantry flew to Dublin, he traveled there too, to declare himself to his friend. But, when he arrived, Chantry had already gone. 

When they finally met each other, Wallace told Chantry about the trip that he took to Irland and his feelings for her. She felt betrayed and she got angry with him. 

At the end of the film, they met each other at a Chantry's party. She finally admited that she had the same feelings for him, so they started to date. In the film, they revealed that they were still dating eighteen months later and also, they got married. 

When I saw the film, I really enjoyed it. It is very comic in almost every scene. In my opinion, I think that the actors and the plot are very good.

MY LIFE EXPERIENCES

I have already been to Belgium, Netherlands and Italy. 

Since I was little, my family and I traveled to different countries to visit our family and to spend time together. Belgium and Netherlands are some of those countries. 
I have been to Belgium twice in my life. It is a good place to spend your holidays. There are a lot of cultural buildings and interesting places, even though, the weather is not good as Spain's.

I traveled to Netherlands once in my life. I have got family there. We did not spend a lot of time there but even so, I think that it is such a beautiful place to go. 

Two months ago, I went to Italy with my school mates. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget. If I could go back in time I would definitely relive it again and again. 

I have already ridden a camel. 

When I went to Morroco in 2007, my family and I spend a week in the capital, Rabat. I remember that my sister and I rid a camel. It was a little bit scary because when I was on the top of the animal, It started to make sudden movements. 

I have already done a sailing course. 

In Empuriabrava, there is a sailing school where you can do a sailing course in the Empuriabrava's small beach. When I was in school, we spend a day sailing. But it was only a day trip. However, when I was doing 1st of ESO, I remember that we spend more or less a month taking teorical and practical sailing classes. I enjoyed a lot that course even though, sometimes the teorical parts where a little bit boring. 

I have not eaten tacos yet. 

When it becomes to food, I have to say that I have never tried tacos. I think that the reason why I have not tried it yet is because I always eat the typical food. That's why I would like to try different dishes. I hope that someday I could finally taste it. 

I have not finished 4th of ESO yet. 

The school year is almost finished and that means that I will finally finish 4th of ESO. I am excited to close this school year, because Summer is just around the corner. But, at the same time, I do not want that 4th of ESO finishes because in September things are going to change for example, the class, the school mates,... for not talking about the subject of the course. 

I have not read the A Song of Ice and Fire's books yet.

I have already finished Game of thrones more than a month ago. The sixth season is trasmited every Sunday in the United States, but I see it online every Monday. I have read that this season is a little bit different from the sixth book considering that it is not published (or even finished) yet. The writer said that everyone who will read the book will be surprised for the things that can happen and that will not happen in the tv series, Game of thrones. That is why, when the book will be published, I want to read it.

William Shakespeare wrote different kind of plays: tragedy, comdey, dramatic histories,... Some of them are these: Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet,  Titus Andronicus, The two noble Kinsmen, The History of Cardenio, As you like it, All's well that ends.

In 1606, more or less, there was a plague in England. Some people say that Shakespeare's died was caused by this plague. They say he was very sick because of the  place where he was living was in very bad conditions.

In this year, William Shakespeare wrote one of his best love story ever, Romeo and Juliet.

The queen Elisabeth, when she was roling the country, was very supportive with Shakespeare. She was enjoying a lot all of his plays. There are rumours that she and William had a relationship.
