PALAU ROBERT EXHIBITION PICTURE

Two weeks ago, we went for a school trip to Barcelona. There, we made different activities: we went to the theatre, we interviewed tourists and we went to Palau Robert to see a photography exhibition. The exhibition was about the refugees from Syria. They risk their lives to basically live somewhere in peace. Unfortunately, not all of them reached.

The picture that I chose was taken in Hungary. In the picture, you can see kids lied in the floor, covered by the Hungary's flag. They are surrounded by young refugees who are lighting some candles. They are trying to protest against the lack of freedom of movement.

There were a lot of pictures but, I chose this one because I was attracted by the placards which were held by the refugees. It is so sad to see how they are suffering the consequences of a war that, actually,  it is not their fault.

PROCESSED MEAT GIVES YOU CANCER

This news explains that the World Health Organisation has announced that processed red meat (bacon, ham, sausages,...) can increases the risk of bowel cancer by 18%. The asbestos, arsenic, cigarettes and alcohol also are carcinogenic. Nutritionists are urging meat eaters to take heed of the new advice. But, there are people who think that is ridiculous to compare meat with cigarettes.
Personally, I think that it is good for you health eating red meat. It contains a lot of vitamins and minerals, such as iron, zinc,... But, I do not really like meat and that is why I do not eat it. I find out that not everyone who eats meat will have bowel cancer. If you eat 90g or more of red meat in a day your risk of having a cancer is higher tan those who eats small amounts.

MY NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS

Honestly, I don't have a lot of resolutions for this year (and for any one). When it becomes a new year I never think of what are my objectives or goals. It is because I don't wait a year to do things that I need to do or that I have to do, I just do it when I am thinking about it.

If I have to say what are my resolucions, I would say these ones:
  • Obtain the ESO graduate with good marks. This is the typical resolution that everyone wants to complete this year. It is easy to graduate but not to do it with good marks. That is why I will do my best to reach this.
  • Get more organised. This is an important way to keep you out of issues. If I get more organised, I will be not worrying for anything.
  • Watch more English tv series or films. I started to watch different kind of series in english a long time ago and now I want to watch more English films. It helps you to improve your English level and you can learn in a different method.
  • Read more books. Reading books are perfect to keep you calm and relaxed. Lately, I really enjoy reading and I will make time to do it more.

COMIC RELIEF

What is the comic relief?
The comic relief consists to incluide humorist characters (most of the time are funny sidekicks), scenes or dialogues.

Why is it often used in horror films?
The comic relief is often used in horror films to relieve tension from the frightening scenes.

Do you remember laughing in horror films? Can you think on an example?
Yes, I do. The horror film were I laughed a lot was called "Las brujas de Zugarramundi". This film made me laugh because there was a funny character, Tony, which was interpreted by Mario Casas. During the film, Tony was saying funny things and jokes in a scary or bad situacion.
